formed from a clay slab, dried slowly, pierced with holes, surfaced, and glazed on one side. the button size is a little bit smaller than that of a quarter coin. buttons are roughly 7/8" across and feel so nice to the touch ! button backs are unglazed, giving a contrast feeling between raw and glazed ceramic surfaces. makes a great gift for the fiber artist in your life !
